Please read the description before you post or make bug reports.
The GoG version of the game has 4GB enabled by default. You do not need to patch it. However the patch supports making the GoG version load NVSE automatically.
To test if the patch is working, install the latest JIP_LN plugin and type GetIsLAA in the console, if it returns 2 then it is working, if it returns 0 then the patch didn't work, if it returns 1 then the patch worked but you need to run the game as administrator for it to take effect.
If you get a black screen with ENB, run your game as administrator. Install presets like you would for the vanilla game. Do not follow instructions for the old 4gb, they will not work.
ENB now supports ENBoost without graphics hack, your mileage may vary.
ini edits that can give additional help
    [General]
    bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1
    [BackgroundLoad]
    bSelectivePurgeUnusedOnFastTravel=1
Do not use the heap replacer in NVSR (Stutter Remover), it will make your game crash more often with an out of memory error.
To know it works, if you have NVSE installed open the console and type GetNVSEVersion, if it's non-zero then it worked.

Any complaints about this not working with a pirated version of the game will be met with a report to the staff.
Comments not pertaining to the mod itself, or not pertaining to technical issues will be deleted.
This is not a help desk for ENB, go to Boris' forum or the page for the ENB preset you downloaded.
This is not a general help desk for your questions about other mods, your load order or software, your dogs flatulence issues, or whatever, go ask in the appropriate forums.

There have been some errors with the patched executables generated by version 1.0 of this patcher, because I'm stupid sometimes.
If you had troubles with the patcher or the executable it generates, restore your original executable (FalloutNV_unpatched.exe) or verify the game cache in Steam before running the shiny new 1.3 version.
  4. When I launch the game with FalloutNV.exe (gog version)... the NVSE does not load with it, as none of the mods requiring the script extender seem to work. Help?
    1. Yes.
If I start the game with NVSE... does it automatically run the 4gb gog exe?
    2. But does running the NVSE loader automatically load the gog exe with 4gb patch?
    3. If I start the game with the NVSE_loader..... will it apply the 4gb patch (gog version) or do I need to load the game with the gog.exe? If so then obviously I wont need to use your mod.
    4. Im not talking about your patch. Im asking if loading the game via NVSE will load the gog version of the 4gb patch, or do I need to load via the gog.exe?
    5. @WanderRA, run nvse loader and open console, type 'getnvseversion' , if =5 then nvse is running. For 4gb, I'm not sure if it's the same for gog version since I'm using steam version, install JIP nvse plugin, type 'getislaa' to test if 4gb is working, =2 means good. I had to dig through old posts and discussion to figure these out myself.
    6. He asked you if he can launch the game from NVSE for 4gb because the other way around didn't work for him, thus he might just give up on launching the game from FalloutNV.exe, even with your patcher. You could've just told him YES when he asked you the first time, instead of trying to explain things about your patcher. He just wants to know if you can launch nvse with 4gb enabled, with your patcher or not, you don't have to force him to launch the game from FalloutNV.exe, cuz ppl like me and others had problems with patched exe so we can only launch the game from NVSE. Before you updated the sticky comment, many ppl don't even know how to check if it works.
  5. Hi, I'm getting a 0cx000001d error preventing me from booting Fallout New Vegas everytime I try to launch the patched FalloutNV.exe .I already installed the vcredist_x86.exe files and restarted my computer. Any help on what I might be doing wrong?
    1. Thank you friend! I do not completely understand, but going to the exe.'s properties and going to the Security tab and allowing 'Full control' and disabling 'Compatibility mode' in the Compatibility tab solved the problem for me.
  6. I don't usually launch the game with Steam or default but rather via the NVSE loader. Is it still fine to do so with the 4gb patch installed?
  7. When you say make ini files read only does that include ini files from mods like MCM? Also, I tried making all the ini files read only but then once I launched the game (via steam) typing in GetIsLAA only outputs >> 0.0000. I have NVSE installed and turning off read only for the ini files and then running the game through the NVSE loader still outputs >> 0.000 when typing in GetIsLAA
  8. I'm using NVSR with FNV4GB instead of nvse_config and had better performance. Is everything alright or am I doing wrong?
Can I use nvse_config and NVSR both using bReplaceHeap = 512?
    1. About ENB, the only way to use 4GB Patcher is using ENBInjector?
    2. When you try to use ENB + 4GB on the D3D9, I have a black screen, that gives me nerves because I do not like using the ENBInjector.
    3. The game's music remains normal in the menu, however, the screen starts black. This bug only occurs when I use ENB + 4GB + D3D9. ENBInjetctor works normally.
    4. TBBMalloc is a high-performance multi-threaded memory allocation algorithm. NVSR's implementation of it is not great.
    5. I'll continue using ENBInject, that's the way ... Thanks RoyBatterian! One last question, Asurah is waiting for you to release the final version of the mod Weapon Mesh Improvement Mod to launch the AsurahAnimationPack?
    6. @CommandShepard,
Can you explain what exactly did you do to get the injector working? I grabbed 3 files from injector folder and is there anything I need to change in enbinjector, ini? The default library is enbseries.dll and process name is FalloutNVlauncher and FalloutNV, but when start the injector and then start FalloutNV.exe, enb menu is not popping up.
    7. I wouldn't be stupid enough to not run it as admin, EVERY damn thing is running in admin mode.
I have asked you about the patcher last year. In fact, I still want you to clear my mind, what's the difference between getislaa=1 and getislaa=2? Last year you told me =1 means patched and it should work, but now I saw you just said =2 means working. Basically getislaa=1 if I launch the game from steam launcher, I had to because if I launch the game from FalloutNV.exe, I got a black screen and a window on the top left corner. (With enb wrapper)
After going through the latest posts here, I reinstalled the game and tried enb injector several times, game launches from FalloutNV.exe with no enb effects, getislaa=2. The patcher worked and I just need to worry about enb right? Then something weird happened, I switched to wrapper d3d9 and it worked, enb and patcher, getislaa=2.
But I don't know wtf is going on, now it doesn't work again. Black screen can hear the background music and menu sound.
Right now I can only start the game from nvse_loader.exe with enb.
    8. Norton. I checked history and the only unusual activity was that the 'Firewall rules were created for FalloutNV'. That was after I had it working for a short period(with wrapper). I guess you might be right...however it's still black screen after I changed the rules from 'Auto' to 'Allow'. I also had the folder&exe excluded from the normal scan. Added exes to DEP list. That still doesn't explain enbinjector.
If I can't figure it out, nvse_loader.exe is the only way to run the game.
  9. Is the main difference from this and other 4GB patches that this patch can load NVSE? I'm not sure if this even works for me because the game still crashes at 800mb or 1GB of RAM. I have also disabled the STEAM Overlay and added those INI changes. I also have disabled bReplaceHeap in New Vegas Stutter Remover. GetIsLAA also gives a number 2 in the console.
    1. Strange, other games like Skyrim and Oblivion give correct amount last I remember. Another strange thing is that I enabled New Vegas Stutter Remover's ReplaceHeap and the crash stopped. Thanks for the help though, because I wasn't sure about RAM and Task Manager.
    2. Say if I have 16gb ram and 2400 shared memory, 5.3gb used besides the game, is it still worse?
  10. When I installed the patch and opened the game, the game freezes and steam reported that I only got 20 fps, even I uninstalled NVSR the problem still occurs. Is problem with the game or mods?
  11. I have run the nvse as administrator , but I still got 1 .:(
Does the ini file in C/Documents/My games/FolloutNV/Fallout.ini ? Or other ini files ?
Or which .exe should I launch ? (Steam version)
    (Sorry for my poor English)
    1. I got 'invalid exe version' when I launch the FalloutNVpatch . What shold I do ?
  12. If any graphic injector, be it ENB or Reshade, isn't working it's not the issue with the patcher nor it's the issue with the graphic injector. It's the issue with your version of Windows 10. The OS is lacking full version of directx libraries required for graphic mods. Try downloading and installing DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from Microsoft site first.
    1. Steam install is as likely to check only for truncated version already coming with Win 10, conclude that you already have newest version installed and skip this step entirely.
  13. How to make it work with ENB and NVSE? only way for it to work is if I remove d3d9.dll and not use ENB
    1. You should be able to run the game normally with nvse loader.
As for the latest ENB binaries, use the injector version and enbinjector exe.
    2. Yeah, my NV backup folder is ancient and had a lot of old .dll and NVSE plugins. It doesn't need using NVSE loader at all after cleaning it before installing script extender. :X
