Battle Moon Wars (バトルムーンウォーズ銀Batorumuunwaazushirogane?), or known as Battle Moon Wars銀, is a PC-made series of Super deformedTactical RPG games created by Dojin soft developer and publisher Werk in 2005. Its popularity in Japan has given rise to a number of Battle Moon Wars games. The series has a basic similarity to the Super Robot Wars series and its Super deformed looks, as well as taking its crossover concept, though it has overshadowed Battle Moon Wars due to its huge fanbase in Japan and in other nations, as well as its presence in the Japanese video game market for some time.
The game uses the crossover of Type-Moon's visual novel and anime series, including Tsukihime and Fate/stay night with several original characters made exclusive by Werk. Their involvement in the series are covered as Acts.
The game is also currently being translated, with the story content and interface all translated to English.[1]

SRW References[edit | edit source]
- Several attacks of the characters are original and did not appear in the original works, most of them pays homage to Super Robot Wars and the anime series involved in it. For instance:
- Takumi has an attack similar to Grungust Type 3/Thrudgelmir's Zankantou Ichimonji Giri
- Haruna has an attack similar to Altairion's Maneuver GRaMXs
- Satsuki has an attack that looks very similar to the Erupting God Finger, formerly used by God Gundam of G Gundam
- Satsuki also has an attack (while in her berserker-form) that resembles the berserking attack Unit-1 from Neon Genesis Evangelion used against the Third Angel, Sachiel.
- Shirō and Sakura gain a combination attack very similar to the Sekiha Love Love Tenkyoken, another attack from G Gundam.
- Kohaku and Hisui gain a combination attack that pays homage to the combination attack of Combattler V and Voltes V whenever they appear in the same Super Robot Wars installment: combining the Choudenji Tatsumaki and the Tenkuuken.
- Phantasmoon has a homerun attack and an 'Inazuma Moon Kick' attack, paying homage to Gunbuster, down to the bounce.
- Phantasmoon, Ciel and Akiha are able to execute a combination attack called 'Final Typenic Special', parodying the 'Final Dynamic Special' attack of the Mazinger series mecha and the Getter series mecha.
- Berserker has an attack with an early screaming animation similar to Thrudgelmir.
- Phantasmoon appears mysteriously and out of the blue like Rom Stol, and even gives a short speech afterwards. When asked who she is, she says 'I have no name to give to you!' as an homage to Rom Stol's catch phrase, 'You don't deserve to know my name!'.
- Gilgamesh has an attack called 'Golden Hammer' where he first equips an extra-large gauntlet to wield the said weapon, a clear reference to Gaogaigar.
- Nrvnqsr Chaos has an attack where he reels a target towards him and inflicts a crushing bearhug - similar to Koutetsu Jeeg.
- There are enemies throughout the game that look like various Getter Robo units, and have the appropriate signature attacks.
- 'Magical Girl Amber', Kohaku's magical girl persona has a move with a direct parody of Shin Megami Tensei:Persona 4, featuring a close-up of Shiki, Hisui, and Akiha remniscient of the close-ups that the player would get with his companions when performing an all-out attack in Persona 4. The performed attack bears an uncanny resemblance to the Cut-Back Drop Turn maneuver from Eureka Seven.
- Zouken Matou is equipped with a remote weapon system similar to the funnels featured in various Gundam series taking place in the fictional Universal Century timeline. His other attack in which two giant 'Z' letters shoots from his forehead, suggests a reference of Gundam ZZ where the titular mobile suit's ultimate weapon is a forehead beam cannon.
- Similarly, there are items in the game named 'Chogokin Z' and 'Chougokin Double Z', paying homage to this brand.
