Yosuga No Sora Visual Novel English Patch Download

Hello everybody, today I will be recommending a visual novel called Yosuga no Sora. There is also an anime adaption for this visual novel which is pretty intense ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ). The visual novel is also pretty intense in its own way, so I will keep it as PG as possible. Without further ado, let's get into it.

P.S if you have watched the anime, don't worry as the last few episodes of the anime did not quite follow the visual novel, so you do not need to worry about it as the visual novel executed it much more better than the anime did.

What is Yosuga no Sora?

Before I start this section, let me ask you a question. Are you into forbidden love? If you are into it, this is the right visual novel for you.

Our protagonist and his twin sister moved to their grandparent's house which is in a village after their parents passed away. This visual novel will tell you about the MC's hardship of getting used to the town and of course relationship developments between him and the 5 other heroines. The main heroine is of course, his twin sister. Now, let us witness the protagonist struggles to have a good end with the heroines especially with his twin sister.

---------------

Characters

---------------

Kasugano Haruka(Protagonist)

Haruka transferred into the school as a 2nd year student.

Haruka have a kind and outgoing personality. He pretty much gets along well with everyone due to his cute appearance and seldom get angry. He doesn't have any good strength other than having a strong resolve as he insist to live with his twin sister alone when their relatives told them to move into their house. However, he is indecisive and dense(probably 1/4 judging from the VN). He is also unable to swim due to trauma from his childhood times.

Pretty much your classic harem protagonist, just that his appearance is a lot of times better than those normal ones. The only reason I like him is because of what he did to resolve the problems they are facing in Sora's route. Other than that, it's average.

---------------

Kasugano Sora(Heroine)

Yosuga No Sora English

Sora is Haruka's twin sister. She also transferred into the school as a 2nd year but ended up in a different class.

Sora have a lazy and stubborn personality. She is hates doing house chores and always locks herself in her room with her laptop. Her tsundere personality appears, when getting praised by Haruka. She is intelligent when it comes to studying and technologies like using laptop to search or buy stuff online. However, she has a weak body and does not have the stamina to move around much. She loves eating sweet food.

Normally, I wouldn't like tsundere lolis especially those with twin tails. But Sora is an exception. You would have to read her route to understand it :/.

---------------

Yorihime Nao(Heroine)

Nao is a childhood friend of Haruka and Sora. She is one year older both of them and also attends the same school as them but as a 3rd year.

Nao has a Onee San personality. She cares a lot for Haruka and Sora when they moved back to the village and often go to their house to help them. She is also very intelligent in studying and excels in swimming as she is in the swimming club. However, she has a very weak mentality and get hurt easily especially by people who she is close to. She loves reading books.

I do not know about your preferences but I dislike her weakness and what she did to Haruka when he was young(will not go in deeper because it is a spoiler).

---------------

Sora

Amatsume Akira(Heroine)

Akira is also a childhood friend of Haruka and Sora. She is also a 2nd year and is in the same class as Haruka. She is an orphan and is a shrine maiden.

Akira have a very cheerful and kind personality despite being an orphan. She is always seen very proactive as she is always joking around with people. She excels in odd jobs and all types of house chores such as tidying and cooking. However, she is an airhead.

I am not quite into heroine with overly cheerful personality because they are annoying. However, I don't find Akira that annoying throughout the visual novel, instead I find her jokes funny. Still she isn't my cup of tea.

---------------

Migiwa Kazuha

Kazuha attends the same school and is in the same class as Haruka. Her father is a influential magnate, so her family is rich.

Kazuha have a refined and friendly personality. She is very well mannered as she greets everyone politely regardless of status. She cares a lot for Akira. She excels in studying and playing the violin. However, she is weak to teasing and is indecisive.

So, I have a weak spot for black-haired girls. I assumed that she will be the best girl before even reading the VN but after finishing her route. My likability of her went down quite a bit. Most of it were caused from her overprotectiveness for Akira.

---------------

Nogisaka Motoka(Heroine)

Motoka is a maid working at the Migiwa Household.

Motoka have a outgoing and hardworking personality. She is often seen as a kind and friendly maid when escorting Kazuha and when talking with other people. She also loves to tease people when she isn't working or around her employer. Believe me or not she has no other good strengths other than being hardworking. Despite being a maid, she cannot do her jobs properly. She cannot do house chores and cooking properly. When she does them, she gets clumsy and shit happens. She basically lacks skills that allows her to survive in the society. She also love to drink alcohol and gets drunk easily.

Ok that was a long summary. At first I thought that she was just an extra heroine but then she turns out to be pretty interesting. I love her teasing personality tbh as it is one of my favourite personality. The best part of her is that when she gets drunk, that's where all the hilarious scene comes in. I regret calling her a side heroine :/.

First Impression

When I was thinking of playing all the visual novel that has an anime adaption, Yosuga no Sora came to my mind as it left a pretty big impression on me because of the ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) scenes. I was a bit hesitant to play it but meh, time to man the hell up.

I was pretty disappointed when I first open up the visual novel as it was badly design. The Japanese and English wordings was so small. After clicking on the start button and getting into the game, I was surprised by the in game art as it was surprisingly great. The visual novel started off with Haruka and Sora going to their new home in the village just like in the anime. After that, it will introduce all the characters.

---------------

Routes

You will start off with the common route like usual where you pick your choices and get into their route. The common route was surprisingly short which will take you 2 hours. It is also pretty easy to get into a route as there are only 4 times where you need to pick a choice and every choices have 2 options. 1st option to get into the route and the 2nd option to avoid the route.

There are a total of 5 heroine routes. Each route will take you about 5 to 6 hours.

You need to complete at least one route to unlock Sora's route.

My playing order was Nao>Akira>Motoka>Kazuha>Sora

I will now give my opinions and overall score on every route

---------------

Nao's Route

I started off with Nao's route just because I'm not quite fond of her. The pacing and execution in the route was pretty good as the amount of ups and downs were balanced. However, they ended it off pretty weird as it doesn't give me the feeling that the route has actually ended and there weren't a special CG for the ending. Gonna give it a low score because of a vague ending and because I dislike her :/.

Overall Score: 6/10

---------------

Akira's Route

Out of all routes, Akira's route felt the longest for me. When I checked the number of dialogues this route had I was shocked as there was about 8700 dialogues. The starting part of the route was very good as there were enough comedy to keep me reading on until they try to add more downs to extend the route. As a result, they spoiled the later half of the route by making it longer when it could be ended quicker and better.

Overall Score: 7.5/10

---------------

Motoka's Route

Motoka's Route was really a fun read as it was pretty much packed with hilarious scenes to keep me reading on. However, the relationship escalation was pretty ridiculous and almost does not make any sense until you read deeper into the story and finally understand it. The downs in this route is also great as it made the protagonist cool for once. Overall, this is a great route as I got hooked onto reading it 5 hours straight without stopping.

Overall Score: 8/10

---------------

Kazuha's Route

I'm pretty disappointed in this route, enough to drop my likability for the heroine. In this route, instead of just focusing on just the relationship between Kazuha and Haruka, they bought in a 3rd party which is another heroine. This really pissed me of because the route was going so smoothly at the beginning until Kazuha went indecisive and that is where the huge down begins. The affection from Kazuha to Haruka were not executed that well too as I don't feel like Haruka did enough to make Kazuha fall in love with him as Kazuha did not see Haruka as a love interest at the beginning.

Overall Score: 6.5/10

---------------

Sora's Route

Sora's route was emotional af because of the number of downs. The downs in this route wasn't that bad instead it was great but it was very hard to get through them as it broke my heart a lot of times while going through the route. The best thing is that the ending in this route is soothing af just like how you finally found a oasis in the middle of the desert. I also like how Sora's personality literally took a 180 degree turn in this route which made me like her more in a good way of cos.

Overall Score: 9/10

---------------

Best Route Ranking: Sora>Motoka>Akira>Kazuha>Nao

Best Girl Ranking: Sora>Motoka>Kazuha>Akira>Nao

Thoughts

Yosuga No Sora English Visual Novel

Plot(9/10)

What else can I say about the plot other than incest? :/. Jk, the plot in this route was pretty unique as I don't think that there are many anime which has incest in it. And this visual novel was great enough to have an anime adaption.

Characters(8/10)

Almost all the characters are very well written from backgrounds to preferences. I like Haruka and Sora background information because their past really made the visual novel better and packed Sora's route with lots of feels.

Execution(7/10)

The only routes they did it right was Sora's and Motoka's as they were great and enjoyable. Other routes, especially Nao's and Kazuha's was so badly made. Akira's was average.

Art(8/10)

The interface sucks but the in game art was great especially on the CG part. I was very surprised when I saw the CG where Sora was walking towards the river(the picture under thoughts) as it was so well drawn.

Music(7/10)

The music in this visual novel is average as the opening song weren't that great for me but there were quite an amount of BGM in the visual novel considering that it was made in 2008.

Overall Score: 8/10

Visual Novel Maker

Overall, this visual novel was a fun read especially Sora's route. I wish they could make Kazuha's route better because her route had so much potential to be improved on. So, it all comes down to this last question should you read it? Yes, if you like the forbidden love genre, just reading the visual novel for Sora's route is enough as it is the main route. As for the other routes, I will leave it to you guys to decide.

Let me end this blog with this great speech by Sora.
